Yaswanth is a PhD student in Electronics and Informatics Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
He completed his Master’s in Telecommunication Engineering at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan (2021–2023), and moved to Belgium to pursue his doctoral degree in collaboration with imec. His current research focuses on enhancing resolution in imaging radars for automotive systems.
Before starting his PhD, Yaswanth gained hands-on experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology. He worked as an ADAS Application Engineer at Whetron Electronics, a Taiwanese automotive manufacturer, from February 2023 to September 2025. During his nearly three-year tenure, he tackled engineering challenges in R&D and supported product promotion to customers. His combined expertise in both technical and business aspects fuels his passion for research at VUB and imec.
During his Master’s, Yaswanth published several papers based on his extensive research in communication systems. His work primarily focused on enabling green communications for B5G and 6G networks, aiming to maintain signal quality for a far-field communications.
Currently, he is part of the Sense team at imec, where he researches advanced signal processing techniques for high-resolution cooperative multi-radar systems. His prior experience with radar technologies gives him a strong foundation for his current work.
