Research in the area of millimetre wave systems is aiming at finding techniques and developing the technology platform to organise a suitable illumination and detection scheme to minimize image noise.
This research project will lead to an expertise and technology platform that, while concentrating on one the key applications of mm waves, will be able to generate know-how that is readily transferable to many other application areas of this emerging field. The final goal is to achieve a breakthrough in demonstrating the economic viability of mm wave imaging systems and, in its wake, the viability of other applications.
