To improve the linearity and efficiency of power amplifiers (PAs), it is nowadays paramount to predistort them using digital predistortion (DPD). An accurate model is needed for the predistorter, and this paper proposes and shows that the frequency-domain ROVA (seRies expansiOn of the Volterra Approach) model fits perfectly here. The advantages of having a low number of hyperparameters to tune and the parsimony to performance ratio of ROVA make it an attractive alternative to existing models.
