Abstract

This paper introduces new educational modules that will be adopted in classrooms in the future. They are built on a student thesis project involving the creation of a low-cost spectrometer and the investigation of dissolved oxygen (DO) measurement using a combination of chemical and electronic methods. The educational modules are designed to guide students through building and calibrating a spectrometer for chlorophyll measurement, as well as exploring the principles and challenges of DO sensing using optochemical methods.
