Abstract

the excitation of coupled metal-graphene surface plasmons, in the Otto configuration at the WR 3.4 band was demonstrated experimentally. The influence of the air gap on the excitation efficiency was investigated. The results enable us to characterize graphene samples, and can be used for potential applications, such as in design and fabrication of biomedical sensors, oscillations, switches polarizers, filters, and modulators.
