Project description 

wE-MOVE aims to deliver a proof-of-concept platform for gaming based on body movements, that allows for promotion of fine and gross motor activities in typically developing children, exercises for children rehabilitation and athletic youth training. Totally integrated signal capturing of common available sensor technology and novel developed sensors in shoe soles, should allow enhanced accuracy of gross motor movement registration and force gamers to play the game by mean of the correct movements. Combing virtual reality goggles with high-resolution visual sensor technology to register hand and finger movements, will offer new fine motor training modalities. Self-learning algorithms and motivating game strategies in combination with tele-control by an adult coach, will stimulate physical activity in a safe way.
